Minimalism Exhibit, Decode Gallery
Ancient Light has been accepted into the Minimalism photography exhibition at the Decode Gallery in Tucson. Opening night will be on August 2, 5pm-8pm.

This photograph was made along the coast of the Faroe Islands, where the North Atlantic presses against the land with a slanted northern light. On this quiet evening, the light was diffused and hushed. Using a long exposure, I sought to capture not just what was visible, but what was felt—a fleeting softness draped across a place formed over millennia and steeped in solitude.
The title “Ancient Light” speaks to the atmosphere of the moment—the sense that the land remembers. Mist and motion blur the edge between earth and sky, past and present. The monolithic sea stack and the softened cliff suggest silence, and a timeless endurance.
